Terms and Conditions for mehndi bookings
1. Introduction

2. Booking & Payment Terms

-
Booking Confirmation: A booking is only considered confirmed upon receipt of a signed booking agreement and payment of an initial, non-refundable booking fee (amount specified at time of booking).

-
Payment Schedule:

-
Initial Payment: An upfront payment of £50 is required to secure the date and is non-refundable.
-
Balance Payment: The remaining balance is due no later than 7 before the event date. Failure to pay by the deadline may result in cancellation of services, and any prior payments made will not be refunded.

-
Additional Charges: Travel fees, parking costs, or accommodation expenses, if applicable, will be discussed in advance and must be paid in full by the Client prior to the event.

3. Rescheduling & Cancellations
-
Rescheduling: Rescheduling is permitted subject to the Artist’s availability. A rescheduling request must be made at least 14 days in advance.

-
Cancellation by the Client: Cancellations must be made in writing via email. The booking fee is non-refundable. Any additional payments may be refunded based on the cancellation date:

-
Cancellations made more than 30 days before the event: 50% of balance refunded.
-
Cancellations within 15 of the event: No refund.

-
Cancellation by the Artist: In the unlikely event that the Artist must cancel the booking due to unforeseen circumstances, all payments made by the Client will be refunded in full.

4. Health & Safety
-
Client Responsibility: The Client must inform the Artist of any skin allergies, sensitivities, or other health conditions that could impact the mehndi application. The Artist will not be held liable for any allergic reactions or health issues arising from the mehndi application.

-
Environment Requirements: For optimal results, a comfortable, well-lit workspace with seating and minimal disturbance from noise and other people's movements. Any environmental factors that affect the quality or duration of the mehndi application (e.g., extreme heat, poor lighting) may limit the Artist’s ability to deliver the service as intended.

-
Movement During Application: To ensure the best possible mehndi application, the Client and any participating guests must remain still during the service. Excessive movement, including laughing, hugging, fidgeting, or micro-movements, may disrupt the process and affect the final design. In cases where prolonged disruptions occur, additional charges may be applied to cover extended time required for the service.

5. Service Limitations
-
Number of Clients: The Artist can accommodate a set number of clients within the agreed timeframe, based on the booked package. Any requests for additional services or clients will require prior approval and may incur extra fees.

-
Design Expectations: The Artist will endeavour to meet the Client’s design requests. However, mehndi designs may vary based on factors such as skin type, mehndi quality, and application time.
6. Rights and Usage
-
Photography & Media: The Artist may take photos of the mehndi work for promotional use (website, social media, portfolio) unless the Client requests otherwise in writing.

-
Client Media Usage: Clients may take personal photos of the Artist’s work, whether personally or via the services of a guest, family member or professional photographer, provided they credit the Artist when sharing on social media or public platforms.
7. Liability Disclaimer
-
General Liability: The Artist is not liable for any indirect or consequential losses arising from the use of mehndi services.

-
Allergies & Skin Reactions: The Artist uses high-quality, natural henna. However, as with all skin products, some individuals may experience allergic reactions. The Artist recommends patch tests prior to application but is not liable for any allergic responses post-application.
