Bringing Your Mehndi Dreams to Life

Niyanta Shah

ABOUT

Hi, I’m Niyanta!
I'm a warm, bubbly and thoughtful mehndi artist who believes mehndi is more than just a pretty design - it’s a soulful ritual, a moment of calm and a celebration of heritage.

My love for mehndi started in childhood, using incense sticks and pens to draw on our hands during Diwali, surrounded by neighbours and laughter. Raised in a hardworking British-Asian family, I grew up understanding sacrifice, resilience and the joy of small, meaningful moments. After 20 years in corporate office jobs, life shifted. My sister’s health scare and the loss of two beloved aunts reminded me that life is too short to play it safe. I stepped away from the city grind and picked up a mehndi cone again - this time with intention and heart.

Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of adorning brides and guests across England, Thailand and India with bespoke designs that feel as personal as they are beautiful. My style is grounded in calm energy, deep natural stains (I only use organic paste!) and design sessions full of love, meaning and attention to detail.

What makes my approach special? I guide you with prep tips, aftercare support and a relaxed vibe, so you feel looked after from start to finish. Whether you're a traditional bride, a modern romantic, or planning an intimate celebration, I'm here to co-create something that feels just right for you.

Outside of mehndi, you’ll find me walking, watching Bollywood movies, giving back to charity, or dreaming of my next beach escape (Caribbean and Thailand are top of the list!).

I believe in creating magic - not just with designs, but with care, connection and creativity.

TESTIMONIAL

Thank you again so much Niyanta for such a wonderful evening.  I just took my mehendi off using almond oil and I love it.  Looking at the photo's now I can't believe I was ever thinking "I don't need to have mehendi"! It was such a lovely memory of the mehendi night, and made me feel like a bride even after the wedding day was over. I was very sad when it all eventually disappeared!
